Written by 60foot.

LTFR 60foot60foot are looking for original and creative photos of their newly sponsored Top Fuel Racer Phil Lamattina. They are rewarding that originality with a one-off LTFR inspired crew shirt.

That one-off shirt as well as a second prize of a 60foot merchandise pack form the basis of 60foot's latest Facebook competition. 60foot Marketing Manager, Octane Garage's Frank Pudarich explains, "we wanted something to welcome Phil and the entire LTFR team to the 60foot family. "

Written by ANDRA.

Top Fuel - Perth MotorplexThe ANDRA Top Fuel championship heads to Perth Motorplex again this weekend with round four and five of the series set to fire.

Five of the 8000 horsepower, nitro-consuming beasts will be on the track, competing in an all new format with individual championship rounds on both Friday and Saturday under the lights of the famed Kwinana Beach venue.

In the last round of the championship, Mark Sheehan took his second win in as many events at the Motorplex, defeating Phil Lamattina in a 5.40 to 5.55 pedal fest.

Sheehan is in many ways the not-so-dark house in the series. He only contests the Perth rounds but has some of the latest generation nitro equipment aboard his dragster, including gear from USA powerhouse Alan Johnson Racing.

Damien Harris will return to the ANDRA Drag Racing Series at Perth Motorplex in round four of the Australian Top Fuel championship, putting his team back together for a 'last hurrah'.

Harris will be joining the Rapisarda Autosport International outfit after the February 1-2 event, meaning it will be the final outing for his current Best Tractor Parts dragster and crew.

"It's a last hurrah for the old car and the team as it stands, once we move into the Rapisarda fold we will be using all of his gear," Harris said. "It's going to be a happy day to be back racing but also a sad day for the team as the last time we will all race together."

Harris went within 1.5 points of the national title last season, finishing second to Darren Morgan in one of the closest ANDRA Top Fuel championships in history.

The Australian-based clothing brand has strong links to drag racing with its merchandise range and supporting the fastest cars in the sport was a natural fit.

LTFR driver and team boss, Phil Lamattina was pleased to confirm the partnership.

"We are really happy to have 60foot on-board with the team. 60foot is a young brand and it's great to see them support drag racing at all levels."

"Let's not forget that 60foot gives away prizes at each Aeroflow Drag Racing Series round to the junior dragster driver with the best reaction time and closest to dial in 'package' during eliminations."

Murray Oconnor - Top DoorslammerThe XM Falcon Top Doorslammer of Murray O'Connor dug its heels in at the recent race meeting at Perth Motorplex but the O'Connor Motorsport team eventually got the carbon-bodied Ford to co-operate and in the process ran another personal best for the car.

"It was a tough start to the weekend! We had what we thought would be a strong but still conservative tune-up in the car but round one of qualifying saw some extreme tyre shake for us," explained O'Connor.

"The tyre shake caused the diff to break at half track, which in-turn allowed the engine rev up to 11,700rpm, dropping a valve in the process."
