FUCHS Winternationals Claims Ipwsich Business Award

The 2014 FUCHS Winternationals event has been recognised in the Ipswich Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business awards, taking out the Ipswich Turf Club Tourism/Community Event of the Year category.

The Ipswich Festival and Tivoli Miracle Centre Drive In were also shortlisted for the award, which is judged on: initiative, achievement, enthusiasm and dedication to excellence, as well as commitment and contribution to the Ipswich region.

The event drew a crowd of more than 30,000 people and is the largest Drag Racing event outside of North America.

Willowbank Raceway CEO, Tony Manson said it was humbling for the impact of the circuit to be acknowledged by the local business community.

“It is an honour to be recognised by such an important local institution. The Ipswich Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Awards is a prestigious event and we are very humbled to have been listed as a finalist and then win the Ipswich Turf Club Tourism/Community Event of the Year,” Manson said.
