VIDEO - Murray Anderson's Bird's Eye view of Tony DeFelice Slammer Test
Leading Australian chassis builder, Murray Anderson has declared Melbourne Top Doorslammer racer Tony DeFelice's two days of testing at Willowbank Raceway last week a success.
Anderson made the declaration after a string of easy 6.0-second passes from DeFelice and his new '67 Camaro.
The new car made its debut at Calder Park earlier this year and features a Rootes blower combination and B&J quick drive trans.
After consistent launches, DeFelice's stunning Camaro ran 6.05 seconds /234 miles per hour, 6.07/239 and 6.05/240 in its three full pulls.
"We had two very productive days which culminated in three easy passes, short-shifting but under full power," Anderson said.
"We worked on leaving the line and when Tony felt comfortable we ran it to the finish, with the numbers pleasing.
"We've got a little work to do for the 200-400ft tune-up, which is where the ET will come from, but the rest of the split times were very pleasing."
