EXCLUSIVE - Ch 9 News To Feature Crampton's NHRA Winternats Debut

EXCLUSIVE – Australian Top Fuel rookie Richie Crampton will be the subject of a Channel 9 News feature story, to be filmed at this week's Circle K Winternationals.

Nine's long-standing US bureau chief, Robert Penfold, and the network's LA-based film crew will attend the traditional season-opening event at Pomona and follow 33-year-old Crampton as he makes his NHRA debut in the GEICO/Lucas Oil dragster.

Nine has been granted full access to the event by the NHRA, and pit facilities and crew by team owner Morgan Lucas.

To assist in production, MLR's media agency, Geiger Media Global, headed by respected PR man Rob Geiger, has already supplied footage from its recent Florida test session and pieces filmed at its team headquarters in Brownsburg, Indiana.

Crampton first hit the headlines in August when his hometown newspaper, the Adelaide Advertiser ran a major sport story on his successful licensing. The Advertiser followed up the story when Crampton secured his fulltime drive with MLR.
