$10,000 prize for Super Sedan Shootout!

That's right drag racers, as part of the up-coming Desert Nationals, the Tennant Creek Drag Racing Club and Little Rippers Lifestyles are putting up $10,000 for an 8 car Super Sedan Shootout!

From the Super Sedan competitors at the Dessert Nationals, 8 names will be pulled from a hat and those randomly selected will go head-to-head to take home some serious cash.

Held on Friday the 28th of June during qualifying, the 1st qualifying pass will allow competitors to get an idea of their dial-in. Qualifying rounds 2, 3 and 4 will be the elimination rounds for the 8 car field.

The winner will receive $7,000 and the runner-up $3,000. Surely this has to be one of, if not the biggest payout in Australian Sportsman drag racing history?

So all you Super Sedan racers, if you're thinking of making the trip to the Alice Springs Inland Dragway for the Desert Nationals, here's another ten thousand good reasons to get your entries in.

Run over the eighth mile, the Desert Nationals will be held on June 28th and 29th 2013 and is the 7th round of the Aeroflow Sportsman Drag Racing Championship.
