New Aussie NHRA Top Fuel driver Richard Crampton with partner Stephanie LaskiAustralia has a new NHRA-licensed Top Fuel driver with expat-Adelaide drag racer Richard Crampton earning his prized credentials at Indianapolis Raceway Park today.

A long-time member of Morgan Lucas's team, Crampton underwent his licensing runs in Lucas' Geico/Lucas Oils dragster and MLR team-mate Brandon Bernstein's Protect The Harvest/MAV-TV car.

Under the watchful eyes of Lucas, Bernstein and leading NHRA Funny Car driver Ron Capps, the 30-year-old Crampton officially secured his ticket with quick passes of 3.85sec at 307mph and 3.86/314.

Lucas tweeted soon after "@richocrampton is officially licensed top fuel pilot. Not a person here that wouldn't sign that license" with Capps replying "Tell him nice job".

Michala Banas and Darren MorganTuesday night I had the pleasure of attending the launch party for Upper Middle Bogan, with the first episode to air on the 15^th of August at 8:30pm on ABC1.

Created by Gristmill’s Robyn Butler and Wayne Hope, Upper Middle Bogan tells the story about two families living at opposite ends of the freeway.

Here are few images from the night plus the trailer. The cast and creators were kind enough to sign a couple of Just Drag Racing Crew shirts which we’ll use in fan promotion closer to the air date.

Bess Denyar, played by Annie Maynard, is a doctor who comes from a well-to-do family. Or so she thinks...

Sensing she doesn't quite fit in, Bess learns that she is in-fact adopted and her birth parents are Drag Racers, the Wheeler family who live and breathe Top Fuel.

And this is where the fun begins... a clash of cultures in some ways and a coming together in others.

"Every year we get asked at race meetings wether there is an opportunity to purchases the shirts that we wear.

So this year we have called on the services from Thursday Thunder Apparel to come up with a new design and some thing that was very different to what every other team was wearing.

After recently announcing his retirement from racing in Australia, Shane Tucker has confirmed he will be racing in the NHRA Series, with Rob Tucker Racing relocating to the US to take on the world's best.

Shane Tucker has confirmed the move is aimed about a new challenge for him as a driver and father Rob as Crew Chief.

"We feel the time is right to make the move," smiled Shane.

"Our team achieved some pretty cool things racing domestically but we want to race with the best and that means racing in the US.

"It was a tough decision and one that took a great deal of deliberating, Mum and Dad have guided me every step of the way and I'm sure they are just as excited as I am with what the future may hold."

The propeller-heads at Just Drag Racing having been working away feverishly by the light of their monitors to create an exciting new Drag Racing App.
