VALE - Sara Murton
The beautiful young lady who was granted her dying wish, to race down the quarter-mile, Sara Murton, has sadly passed away.
Her passing was announced on the Sydney Dragway Facebook page today, Sara tragically losing her battle with bowel cancer.
Following a phone call from leading Sydney radio station 2GB, Sara was given the opportunity to take part in the Fastrack Drag Racing experience in its three seat Super Comp dragster, recording an 8.9-second pass at the recent Australian Nationals at Sydney Dragway.
"That was the most amazing experience ever, you've got to get out there and have a crack with Fastrack Racing, that was awesome," Sara said following her 8-second ride.
"It was over and done with so quickly but I absolutely loved it, it was amazing."
When asked about her health struggles and the experience Sara said; "I'm feeling on top of the world. It was amazing, just pinch me that it happened."
While we at JustDragRacing.com did not know Sara personally, we are saddened with today's news and offer our sincerest condolences to her family and friends in this difficult time.
