The popular JP Racing Eighth Mile Drag Racing Series will return in 2014, with an exciting new Outlaws bracket.

The FG Loy & Sons Earthmoving Eighth Mile Outlaws will feature supercharged, nitrous and turbo-fuelled sedans, dragsters and altered racers, replacing the Old School category.

Series organiser John Winterburn said he was pleased to confirm the 2014 Series following a successful 2013 campaign.

"In 2014 we will see the fifth running of the JP Racing Eighth Mile Drag Racing Series and I couldn't be more proud," Winterburn said.

"When we came up with this concept five years ago we just wanted to provide the racers of South East Queensland with a fun racing series which took in some of our great regional tracks.

"The support we have received from the competitors and venues has surpassed all of our expectations right from the get-go.

"The new bracket for next year will allow us to inject another exciting element to our program – I am very excited to see how it is received when we first hit the track at Warwick Dragway in February."

The FG Loy & Sons Earthmoving Eighth Mile Outlaws bracket will be joined by the RD Williams Excavator Parts Modified, John William Auto Sales Super Sedan, Ice Slushee Super Street Queensland Nameplate Group Modified Bike and Diamond T Products Junior Dragster brackets.

Kicking off at Warwick Dragway on 8 February, the series will head to Willowbank Raceway on 26 April for round two. Benaraby Raceway will host round three on 2 August before the final round at Ironbark Raceway on 27 September.
