Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars Gain AIR

Following the success of its first Sydney outing, Aeroflow Outlaw Funny Car series organisers have confirmed its next round will be at Adelaide International Raceway on 4 January.

Eight cars are confirmed for AIR with Shane Olive stepping into the LA Hooker driven at Sydney Dragway by NHRA star Ron Capps, above.

Another driver change sees ANDRA Group 2 racer Justin Walshe take the wheel of the Lets Boogie Mustang.

Racing Onn Promotions' Rino D'Alfonso said Funny Cars and Adelaide summer nights are the perfect mix.

"This will be an evening show, Adelaide's summer nights are the best in the country and the warm weather and eight nitro burning beasts are about as good as it gets – bring it on," D'Alfonso said.

Gates open from 9:00am with racing from 4:00-10:00pm.
