VIDEO - Aussie Fuel Funny Cars Race NZ

Australian nitro Funny Car racers, Christine Steffens and Anthony Begley return to New Zealand's Ricoh Taupo Motorsport Park this Thursday (2 January) after their rain-affected NZ debut.

Steffens and Begley made their first appearance at the south NZ track on Saturday, but poor weather played havoc with the event billed as "Nitro Nirvana".

With a large crowd looking on, the Aussie nitro fuel coupes were shut down after their first round burnouts, but returned later – the Pontiac and Camaro-bodied cars struggling for traction.

Steffens and Begley will be the star attraction for Thursday's NZDRA Summer Nationals, with entry for adults just $25.
