Glenn Everitt Brings Man and Machine Together

Popular community motoring television show host and drag racing competitor Glenn Everitt has created a spectacular film of his Outlaw Nitro Funny Car ahead of this weekend's Portland event.

Everitt filmed the car for an episode on his Man and Machine show, which airs on the 4ME community network.

"I've just got back from looking over and fine tuning the final edit for the show and I'm very happy with the result," Everitt said.

"We put a lot of thought into the show and it has come together beautifully. It's an epic episode, packed full of exciting moments and info right to the very last minute."

The feature story will give television viewers a first-hand account of driving a Funny Car down the drag-strip, from start to finish.

While the Man and Machine editors put the final touches to the TV show, the live show heads to southern Victoria in time for this weekend's event.

"11 of these Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars at a track like Portland will be like nothing else," Series Manager Steve Bettes said.

"If you love motorsport, Funny Cars are the wildest things on wheels and Portland will be one of the very best tracks on which you can watch them race."

The Portland event will be held this Saturday, 1 February, while the eagerly-anticipated Man and Machine Funny Car episode airs on Monday, 3 February.
