Hidden Valley Awakens This Weekend For Delayed Top End Season Opener
After the rained out Season Opener Hidden Valley Drag Strip is set to re-ignite this weekend with the Dash 4 Cash on Saturday 26 April.
Teams are eager to get back out there with full fields in all categories ranging from Exhibition and Outlaws, all the way through Top Sportsmans, Super Sedans, Modified Bikes as well as street cars and Junior Dragsters.
It will be the first attempt at the quarter mile this season for several racers including heavy hitters Matt Abel, Peter Coles and Scott MacLean.
But it's Super Sedan that will be the one to watch with the largest field pre-registered. Just over one second separated the field during qualifying at the Season Opener so it's guaranteed to provide some of the closest racing throughout the night.
"Super Sedan is a great field to follow as it's primarily made up of cars that everyone can relate to" HVDRA President Jay Jukes said.
"From classic Ford's, wheel standing Toranas and even the distinctive red Mopar of Tony Kantros it doesn't matter what team you back, there is something for everyone."
The Dash 4 Cash is the second of four competition events this year with the 2014 NT Titles scheduled for 16-17 May and the ANDRA Drag Racing Series set to hit Hidden Valley on the 11-12 July.
Gates open at 1:30pm on Saturday with qualifying throughout the afternoon and feature racing kicking off at 6pm. Adults are $20, kids under 13 are free.
