Corbett smashes NZ record on Australia Day
Champion Australian drag racer, Kelly Corbett celebrated Australia Day in style by blasting out the quickest run ever by a four cylinder vehicle at New Zealand's 2014 V Four and Rotary Nationals presented by NAC Insurance, held at Fram Autolite Dragway, near Auckland, yesterday.
Driving the Jett Racing Datsun ute, Corbett stormed to a 7.14 at a shut-off 178mph and set a new performance standard for the NZ Sport Compact class.

Australian NHRA Top Fuel rookie, Richie Crampton ended the second official day of the Pro Warm Up at Palm Beach International Raceway, Florida, fifth quickest of the 10 cars in attendance.
Anthony Marsh has lowered New Zealand's Top Fuel performance mark, with a 5.089-second/272.89mph blast in his Mount Shop dragster at the United Oils Shootout at Fram Autolite Dragway, Meremere, on the weekend, while Wayne Yearbury also set new standards for Kiwi Top Doorslammers.
