Spike Morrison Inducted Into HVDRA Hall of Fame
HVDRA President Jay Jukes payed tribute to Morrison's dedication to the drag strip.
"Spike was selected for his involvement in establishing the Hidden Valley facility that we still use today," Jukes said.
"He started drag racing at the old 33 mile air strip in his beloved FJ (which he still has today) and was on the committee when the move to Hidden Valley took place."
"He has done many a working bee, clearing the bush while they started laying out the drag strip and building the control tower."
Over 120 people celebrated the successful season with a number of officials also being recognised for their tireless efforts throughout the year including Motorsports NT Official of the Year, Glen Bull Ray Joy-Warde (track crew) and the Coles family.
