VIDEO - VL God sacrifices engine

Anthony Maatouk's Maatouk Racing VLGod Turbo Commodore exploded with quite a bang at Wednesday night's Race4Real meet at Sydney Dragway, the six-second car completely destroying the engine in the most spectacular way!

Running 70psi on the launch, the block cracked in half with the pressure trying to lift it and the cylinder head through the bonnet.

Surprisingly, while the block was split, the cylinder head was still torqued down and the rods and pistons remained in place.

The Maatouk Racing boys already have the engine out and while they will miss tonight's event at Sydney Dragway due to customer commitments, they expect to have the VLGod back on track next week.
