Key Test Chance for Victorian Drag Teams

01202014---Celica thumbVictorian drag racing teams will have the opportunity to fine-tune their cars ahead of upcoming ANDRA events at this Saturday's Test and Tune day at Calder Park.

The session is open to all ANDRA licence holders and will be held in the afternoon and evening to avoid the hottest part of the day.

01192014---Crampton-120Australian NHRA Top Fuel rookie, Richie Crampton ended the second official day of the Pro Warm Up at Palm Beach International Raceway, Florida, fifth quickest of the 10 cars in attendance.

After smoking and shaking the tyres yesterday, Crampton stepped up to a 3.808/323.97 in the Geico/Lucasi Oil Products Top Fuel dragster in the first session – only Antron Brown, Tony Schumacher, Shawn Langdon and Spencer Massey quicker.

Records Fall at Perth Motorplex

Three competitors set both ends of their respective quarter-mile national records: Rob Pilkington, Jake and Jamie Chaisty, and Brenton Baxter.

01152015---Corbett-Ute thumbJett Racing's Kelly Corbett is New Zealand-bound after she was selected as one of just four Australian drag racers to compete as 'feature acts' in the upcoming 2014 V Four and Rotary Nationals (25/26 January 2014).

The 29-year-old from Camira in Queensland will take the wheel of the Jett Racing Datsun Ute as an event-funded headline racer alongside fellow Aussies Scott Porter, Dom Luppino and Chris Fakinos.

The positive story by Andrew Carswell, albeit stating off-street drag racing is a "new craze", focuses on the people who attend the street meets and their personal and professional backgrounds, defying the drag racing stereotype.
