The funeral for former Willowbank manager and ANDRA national director, Dennis Syrmis will appropriately be held at Willowbank Raceway this Friday (6 December).
The raceway announced the service will begin at 9:30am, with family and friends invited to celebrate the life of Australian drag racing's most influential administrators.
One of the most instrumental people in Australian drag racing, Dennis Syrmis sadly passed away this morning after a long illness.
Syrmis was a long-time promoter of Willowbank Raceway, former national director of ANDRA and champion racer with his series of fast Time Machine race-cars, including a supercharged Toyota Corolla gasser. He was also one of the first five inductees into the ANDRA Hall of Fame recently.

Mark Sheehan has claimed the win over Anthony Begley in the WASHPOD Nitro & Fire event at Perth Motorplex overnight, Sheehan recording a best of 4.93-seconds in his Mustang Funny Car in his 2-1 win over Begley.
