NHRA Funny Car star Ron Capps has landed in Australia and has wasted no time in getting ready for this weekend's Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Car event at Sydney Dragway.

Capps arrived in Australia on Monday with the American immediately heading to the team workshop to check out the seat of his ride for this weekend's event – the LA Hooker Plymouth Arrow.

The beautiful young lady who was granted her dying wish, to race down the quarter-mile, Sara Murton, has sadly passed away.

Her passing was announced on the Sydney Dragway Facebook page today, Sara tragically losing her battle with bowel cancer.
