Key Test Chance for Victorian Drag Teams

01202014---Celica thumbVictorian drag racing teams will have the opportunity to fine-tune their cars ahead of upcoming ANDRA events at this Saturday's Test and Tune day at Calder Park.

The session is open to all ANDRA licence holders and will be held in the afternoon and evening to avoid the hottest part of the day.

Records Fall at Perth Motorplex

01142014---Rob-Pilkington-record thumbDespite searing temperatures in the second round of the Aeroflow Sportsman Drag Racing Championship at the Perth Motorplex, six new national records have been ratified by ANDRA.

Three competitors set both ends of their respective quarter-mile national records: Rob Pilkington, Jake and Jamie Chaisty, and Brenton Baxter.

01042014---Crash-thumbUPDATED WITH EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH MICK MAHONEY - Supercharged Outlaws competitor Mick Mahoney was released from Portland Hospital late last night with only "bumps and bruises" following his huge accident at Fuchs South Coast Raceway.

Mahoney's racing and business partner, Phil Read praised the safety of their blown Ford Capri, giving the "thumbs up" to chassis builder Lance Walker and the work of track and safety officials.

Portland to Perth for Aussie champ John Kapiris

After attending last weekend's first ASDRS round at Portland's Fuchs South Coast Raceway, the Adelaide-based racer is driving the 3,250+ kilometres to the Perth Motorplex for this weekend's second round.

UPDATED - Qualifying for the first round of ANDRA's Aeroflow Sportsman Drag Racing Championships, being held at Fuchs South Coast Raceway this weekend, is now underway after having earlier been delayed due to rain.

Intermittent rains peppered the Portland area but the Bureau of Meteorology radar showed little further rain approaching and conditions improved.
